Together, our winter
Our Holiday Camp provides your child with an opportunity to enjoy a day away from school in a safe and fun environment from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Children are guided and supervised by experienced and enthusiastic group leaders at all times. Our ratio of children to adults follow ACQ standards. A typical day may include cooperative games, sports, arts & crafts, thematic projects, and an active period outdoors.

The YMCA Holiday Camp Experience
The YMCA Holiday Camp will feature a ton of fun indoor and outdoor activities to keep your kids busy and entertained:
- Recreational activities: trivia challenges, team-building games, scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, and more!
- Individual activities: puzzles, Lego building, reading, free play, and so on.
- Physical activities: swimming, relay races, tag games, snow bowling, team games, dance, tobogganing, skating, and more!
- Cultural activities: Olympics (learning about flags/countries, sports, athletes), diversity activities (M&M experiments, self-portraits, books with lead characters who are of different colours, physical abilities, or gender identities), arts and crafts, talent shows, etc.
- Science activities: mixing colours (walking rainbow), volcanoes (outdoors), Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) challenges (bridges, towers), how to read a map, etc.
At Holiday Camp, we provide a healthy, safe, and secure environment for all participants. At the YMCA, we understand that children and youth need positive peer and adult relationships in their lives. This is why we create a camp environment that encourages campers to develop lasting friendships with their peers. At the same time, we want to develop a relationship with the parents/guardians of our campers. We encourage you to ask us any questions and share your feedback.

Theme description : Our paranormal explorers/investigators will use the holiday period to discover what our favourite cryptids are doing during this time of celebration.
Every day of Holiday Camp adheres to the programming standards of the YMCA camps, in addition to taking advantage of each site's potential for winter activities. The programming will be presented in more detail when the newsletter is sent in mid-December. :)
What are the safety measures specific to COVID-19?
Public health authorities issued the four guidelines below on November 26, 2021. If these guidelines were to change, we will inform and let you know how this may impact camp activities.
1. Physical distancing:
Campers must comply with the recommended distancing for indoor settings. Our staff is complying with health and safety measures (mask wearing is at the employee’s discretion).
2. Outdoor activities:
Prioritize outdoor activities whenever possible, while ensuring that rooms are below full capacity to follow physical distancing guidelines.
3. Limited physical contact:
Reduce direct and indirect contact between people, specifically by organizing activities and games that limit the sharing of material between participants.
4. Hygiene measures:
- Rigorously apply hygiene practices, including cleaning and disinfecting rooms, materials, furniture and washrooms, and ensure participants and staff members are adhering to good personal hygiene practices such as handwashing.
- Wearing a mask is optional and at the participant’s and employees’ discretion. We recommend wearing one if needed.
