Your decision to come study Italian with us at the YMCA of Greater Montreal International Language School is revealing. You’re no doubt aware that we offer four levels of courses and a fifth devoted to conversation.

Italian is like French: there’s only one right way and many wrong ways. Whether you’re just beginning or looking to polish your skills, we have the course for you. The YMCA is more than a school, it’s una bella vita!

All students must pass a placement test before they can register for a course.

All students who have completed and passed a particular level or course and who wish to register in another level or course can do so without passing a placement test as long as it is done within 6 months of finishing the previous course.

Tests are free every Wednesday. The following are the times for placement testing for the different languages that we teach:

French and English :
12:30 – 6pm
Spanish : 1pm – 6pm
Italian : 4:30 – 6pm
Portuguese : 4:45 – 5:45pm

There is a $20 charge for testing at all other times.
