Accommodations

Our school offers several accommodation options: a homestay with an English- or French-speaking Canadian family, a student residence or a shared apartment.

Homestay

Living with a host family will allow you to become more familiar with Canadian and Québec culture and give you an opportunity to practice the language that you are studying. Host families generally live no more than 45 minutes from our school.

Based on a form that you will have completed, we will select a host family that matches your preferences. We will send you a profile of the family and, if you wish, you may exchange a few emails with them before you arrive.

Our rates for 2016*:

ADULT – Non-refundable placement fee of $200

Breakfast only: $670 

Two meals a day (breakfast + dinner): $856

MINOR** – Non-refundable placement fee of $200

Letter of legal responsibility: $200

Legal responsibility: $84

Breakfast only: N/A

* For a period of 4 weeks (28 nights). All rates are in Canadian dollars.
**An unaccompanied minor must be at least 14 years old.

Additional Services:

Transportation (Montréal airport):

  • one-way (to downtown Montréal): $100
  • return (to Montréal airport): $55

Health insurance: $1.95/day

Other Types of Accommodations

International students may also stay in our student residence or a shared apartment. Prices and availability vary depending on the time of year. Please contact us for more information.

Refund Policy

Students must request a cancellation in writing to obtain a refund.

Homestay or student residence

  1. Cancellation up to two weeks prior to arrival
    Students will be given a full refund of all prepaid accommodation fees, less the $200 registration fee.
  2. Cancellation less than two weeks prior to arrival 
    Students will be given a refund of all prepaid accommodation fees, less the $200 registration fee and fees equal to the cost of two weeks’ accommodation.
  3. Cancellation after arrival
    The student will not be given a refund for the first four weeks of accommodation. A student may receive a partial refund for the remaining period under the following conditions:
  • The student must give us a cancellation notice at least 2 weeks prior to the period he or she wishes to cancel. This student must pay a penalty fee equal to the cost of two weeks’ accommodation.
  • If the student gives us a cancellation notice less than 2 weeks prior to the period he or she wishes to cancel, he or she must pay a penalty fee equal to the cost of 1 month’s accommodation.
