Students enrolled in our Intensive Program or Semi-Intensive Program receive a free membership to the Downtown YMCA fitness centre, (for the duration of their course) which gives them access to over 50 activities and classes.

The Downtown YMCA fitness centre is located in the same building as the Language School and is open every day, including weekends, from early in the morning until late at night. All courses are offered in English and French so students can practice the language they are studying at no additional cost. Find more information:

We regularly organize different activities for students and teachers, which provide an excellent opportunity to meet and chat outside the classroom in a more relaxed setting. Activities include our “International Lunch,” where students and staff can introduce others to culinary specialties of their country by bringing a typical dish to share. Annual holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, among others, are also celebrated.

A variety of student outings are organized throughout the session so students can discover the rich culture of Montréal and Québec: visits to museums and some of the city’s picturesque neighbourhoods, happy hours, films, and sports activities (depending on the season), etc.

We also invite students to discover Montreal’s many cultural events, such as the Jazz Festival, and FrancoFolies during summer as well as Igloofest and Nuit blanche during winter.

If you would like to take a weekend trip to Québec City, Ottawa, Toronto, New York or Niagara Falls, or to go skiing or kayaking, our specialized travel partners are available to help and can provide you with specially negotiated competitive rates.
